    i would discontinue adding anything to the tank, let it cycle,,,removing the ammonia and trites will only slow things down.

    how much are you adding to the bucket? i use 2 tbs to a 4g H20.

    hmm, i use balls and my skimmer is working fine, thick and rich and ohhh so tasty. how long are you letting it settle before dripping? one thing i have noticed is that the setimet is finer than other kalks, i have my drip tube about 2 inches from the bottom, and let it sit for at least 3 hours...

    i have a mag 7 pointing up,,,this causes a great flow from bottom to top. and i use about 2+g a day...more in the winter.

    i just talked to Pat, they are hopefull,,,but its time to put prayer to the air! she is very shaken, but the kids are there with her. john is resting now. all they can do is wait and see.

    tank related yet not tank related...when looking up close to the tank i often rais my glasses up to my forehead,,,,and if i get engrossed into putzing i will be there for a while,,,then i will look around confused for a few minutes going from one room to another ////looking for my damn...
