I just started a 50 gallon new marine tank. Added in 10kg of live rocks. The next day the water turned cloudy. I have put in filter media that removes ammonia, nitrites and nitrates. Also together with active carbon to kill the odour. Now it is the fourth day but cloudiness still persist. Anybody got any solutions?

Sounds like the rock is curing. You could do some water changes, that should help it clear up a bit.

i would discontinue adding anything to the tank, let it cycle,,,removing the ammonia and trites will only slow things down.

Welcome to Reef Frontiers!! I hope you enjoy the site!

I agree sounds like the rock is curing. I went through this a couple of months ago. My water still has some haziness to it, but my rock is still spitting out organics. Let the cycle happen and not remove the ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates.....it is a process that takes time. Allow for good circulation in the tank, and try to get in and blow the rocks with a turkey baster or power head to free up any material. Most of all, have patience, and hang in there!

Here are a couple of threads for you, hope they help:
