    Yellow Anemone With Clown

that is a dyed H crispa, and their natural color should be a "dirty white"/cream with colored tips. On occasion they will survive the dye and return to their normal color, but first they will expell most/all of their zooxanthea along with their dye. If they expel all, it will have less chance of...

do carpet anemone move a lot like rbta's?

A wandering anemone is an unhappy anemone whether its a BTA, "carpet", or whatever.. There are 3 different hosting species of "carpets" and they all have different needs. Lumping them together is not the best idea. S.gigantea (my fav) are often found in tide pools and are NOT sensitive to...

    check out this fry trap.

There was one being passed around for awhile, and I had the opportunity to use it. Works well!

    Water return into plenum space

if so.. I guess I need to know of "successful" of what (?), then. The main purpose of a plenum is to de-nitrify. The only way to de-nitrify is with anarobic bacteria. The only way to get anaerobic bacteria is to have low/no oxygen areas. Pumping water under the plenum is providing...

    Water return into plenum space

never mind, I mis-read :).. Are you, or was this eggcreate/screen covered with sand AKA plenum style?

    Water return into plenum space

The idea behind a plenum or a deep sand bed is to provide anaerobic areas to harbor anaerobic bacterias (low oxygen). pumping oxygen rich water through a plenum/sand bed would render it useless as a "denitrafacation filter"

Best food there is bar none.

There are ways to mix them in the food without chopping them up. I have been adding them to my blend for 3-4 years :)

Honestly any difference in mogul and HQI?

I dont think the difference is so much with the bulbs, but the ballast you plan on driving them with. I agree. I like to overdrive SE bulbs with an HQI ballast. Most of this will depend on the reflector, but I am pretty sure that if you removed the reflectors, the spread would be nearly the...

    Babies are hatching!!!!!!!!

I would recommend a 5 gallon larval tank. Thats what I use. It will be much easier now that they are laying on the tile so you wont have to use the light to capture them. Simply pull the tile to the 5 gallon tank on the night of the hatch. I always feed rotifers when I put the tile in. Im not...

Anyone kept a Ritteri long term?

I will likely try the magnifica(s) someday, but I will never cut the giganteas. I think it would be a death sentence for the giganteas. I have raised a few skunks. Havnt had much luck with the nigripes YET. I have successfully raised a few tomato/cinnamon hybrids. some skunks, some fire...

After that, I will post my giganteas and crispa if no one minds the hijack. This is the purple footed one. Its much nicer...

Anyone kept a Ritteri long term?

heh. their parents and most of their siblings (that I'm familiar with) are very docile, but I do have one female that I kept that is also very.. um.. protective :D Ive had the clone for a few months (4-8?) It was huge when I got it. Basketball size maybe. Hasnt grown much since.

Anyone kept a Ritteri long term?

I will see if I can get some pics up soon. You saw the first, the second came from a store that was afraid of losing it, and the 3rd is a clone from another local guy. you picked up your clowns from that lunatic on 08/03/2006. A day that I will never forget
