    DSB with CaCO3 and Aragamax

You wil get denitrifacation with and super fine sediments.. As long as anarobic bacteria has a chance to colonize. I like the simplicity of oolitic arragonite. I am not a big beleiver of arragonite being able to buffer our systems, but I do beleive that it will disolve somewhat. The pH is...

    I Got Flat worms!!!

the typical flat worms that we often encounter will not pose any threat unless you let them get thick enough to where they smother things. They are actually benificial. They are detritivores and will help clean the tank up, and eventually crash on their own if water contitions are cleaned up. A...

    Some sps pics

If the system is healthy overall, IMO/IME they dont affect them too badly except for polyp extension and maybe inhibitthe growth a bit.

    Some sps pics

A few different wrasses (radient, ornate, etc..) will eat the monti flat worms. When treating for red bugs we often end up killing other things which in turn cause more problems for us. For instance, we kill many of the good acro crabs which are good for keeping the acro eating flat worms...

    Some sps pics

There are some nice corals there. Nice pics too. The acro in the 6th pic appears to be loaded with red bugs. I love that maxima in that last pic.

    Best MH Bulb

I dont think you can say that one bulb is better for any coral, whether talking about the health of the coral or the appearance. Corals react differently to different lamps.. Corals like A, humulis, gemefera, purple monties, etc will pop with some of the most brilliant colors under 6500K and...

    Need HELP mounting fans!

Wow, thats quite a thread.. When I get time Ill browse through a little closer.. FWIW, I am running 14 halides in a room that 16x20, and no Air Conditioning. Even when the ambient room temp is 94, I can keep my tanks at 84 with just fans and no chiller. One thing I have learned for sure in this...

Thanks for the welcome, everyone :) Ilham, I do like clowns and am somewhat of a fanatic :D , but I am still a coral guy at heart.

    Best MH Bulb

Another reeflux vote here.. Ive used them all and like the reeflux the best. Good PAR without have to sacrifice to color.

    Need HELP mounting fans!

Bouke, Most reefers remove the glass lids for a number of reasons. The first is heat build up. Its hard to get enough lighing and keep the tanks cool with glass lids. Gas exchange is another reason. CO2 will build and cause a lower pH with the glass lids... Krish, Thats a nice canopy, but...

    Need HELP mounting fans!

If the canopy is not completely enclosed, I would mount both fans blowing inwards. If the back of the canopy is somewhat open, the warm hot air will be forced out by the new air that is being blown in.. It will leave naturally.. no need to "suck it out". Haveing them both pointing inwards will...
