Well, I just noticed for the first time today that I have approx 25 red flatworms on the front glass of my jbj 12 gallon. I just ordered some flatworm exit and will begin to siphon these bugs out, I hope all goes well, I have noticed my zoa population in my nano to shrink in half or more over the last couple months, would the flatworms be to blame?? any ways wish my luck on the treatment and I will inform of any changes...

the typical flat worms that we often encounter will not pose any threat unless you let them get thick enough to where they smother things. They are actually benificial. They are detritivores and will help clean the tank up, and eventually crash on their own if water contitions are cleaned up. A massive die off can cause issues because they release a toxin when they die. Its a good idea to run carbon and do a water change after use of Flat worm exit.
I prefer to use a peice of rigid air line attached to regular airline to siphon them out instead of treating with FWE.

Good luck
