    I'd do a basic google search and just check closed loop systems out overall. There are several was to build a CL and devices to alternate flow patterns with in a closed loop system. Anthony Calfo has a good description of CL in a couple of his books. He's a mod here on RF here...

    POWERHEAD placement

    What size/type PHs are they? If you can, place 1 on the back, behing the rock. Place 1 at each end of the tank in the corner (or on the side panel) directing the flow to the front middle of the tank.
