Ok, so I just installed an Octo NDW200 Recirc Ext. in my closet. This was the only space I had available to install a larger skimmer to get away from an hob. Well this sucker is now putting out nasty nog that so smelly, my closet smells like a rotting forest. Wondering if there are any suggestions to curb the smell. For time being, I put some carbon in 2 old socks and laid them over the holes in the top of the collection cup. I have a drain in the bottom of the cup for a remote container, but I have it closed off for now. Any ideas?

Carbon is about the only way. You don't want to block teh vent holes though. Only thing you could do really is make a carbon lid taht would be on top of your lid you have now. Then put vent holes in it.

LOL the socks are clean, just pulled on older pair out that I didn't want. You know the ones at the bottom of the drawer that you never wear? Anyway, wondering about one of these?

or one of these? They also sell this for $70 that simply fits ontop of the collection cup lid. I could prolly simply mod to fit my octo lid pretty easy. Might be better to go with a larger auto waste container and tape over the collection cup holes?

I'm wondering which waste container/filter would be better, the aqua C or the ETSS?
