    Bioballs or not

First off, I am a bit bias here, glass sumps bite the big one! especially ones butted together with 1/2" bulkheads !!!!!!! if you only want 300gph flow or less go for it. Also, other than the skimmer, that is the cheapest equipment available (the skimmer is cheap too, but they work well)...

Looking for acrylic aquarium builders for 36x36x20 cube?

PM sent, I also gave a quote to Will @ Reef Mystique. So if you want to go through him, that would work out well.

Looking for acrylic aquarium builders for 36x36x20 cube?

Many people seem to have spam filters that screen out Homestead and therefore my return e-mails sometimes don't make it. I responded to your e-mail last week, and I gave a quote to Will @ Reef mystique. If you want to buy from Envision, go for it. They build very nice tanks, also very expensive.

Looking for acrylic aquarium builders for 36x36x20 cube?

I have done quite a few quotes for 36 x 36 x ? cube tanks as of late. Your post here seems very similar to one from e-mail that I responded to. If it was not you, PM me and I'll get a quote to you.

    Need a good 2500-300gph pump

The Dolphin ampmaster is a very quiet pump and is comparable to the sequence, they are both good pumps that run low rpm and low noise. Since Dolphin upgraded their seals I'll start recommending them again. However, for a local company, Horizon has very good pumps, a 2 year unconditional...

Best prices on aquariums in Seattle area.

You get what you deserve/ pay for on E bay and craig's list! Check with the sponsors here on RF. The guys over here in Kitsap tend to have lower prices because of lower overhead, but I'm sure the stores on the other side can work out a deal for you as well.

    Dolphin Amp Master 4700 maintainence/repair?

If you need a seal for your amp master, I have 10 of them on hand.

    Under tank refugium

Haole has a very good idea on the set-up. A standard 1" bulkhead needs a 1 3/4" hole (Rainbow lifeguard and Hydroair bulkheads). I would also use a screen between the two to keep a fish from finding it's way into the fuge. If you do want the hang-on fuge I make ones that are pump fed and...

WA State unclaimed property - check it out!

Cool! Q-west owes me money from a decade ago when I lived on my family's farm in Eastern WA. It's somewhere between $25-50, but what the heck. We'll see if I get it. Happy Birthday to me!

Super Glue Gel, removal from Acrylic?

Oooops! That kinda bites. I have never dealt with super glue on acrylic but I imagine it would be similar to too much or spilled weld-on. The super glue will most likely craze your tank as well :( . Wet sanding and buffing will remove the glue and restore the viewing area but the super glue...

Who is the ultimate Band of all time!!!

It is really tough to pick just one for all time. If I had to pic one band I don't know if it would have to be Floyd or Ozzy (to include Sabbath). But I would have to throw Jethro Tull into the mix as well! Yup heck with it, Jethro Tull

    Seattle Snow - Nov 2006

I got hit hard at my house in Holly (hood canal south of Seabeck). 8" in places but the worst part was the trees down and I left my chain saws at the shop in Poulsbo!!!! The drive to the shop was pretty fun Sunday morning. The power stayed on until about 4pm then went out. No prob, I...

    bluejaw triggers = reefsafe

I have a male/female combo and they haven't eaten anyone yet  They are with a pair of harlequin shrimp, a blood shrimp and a pair of cleaner shrimp. Mario at Ocean Reef has a M/F combo as well in his reef display and no problems. I know two other people with them in their reefs as well...

Back-Up COMPLETELY before doing a Windows Update

Yeah, I hate Windows updates. With my two computers, something is all ways updating. Down load the microsoft update and next thing you know, every other piece of software has to get updates too! This sucks!!! My computers have spent more time updating in the last couple months than I have...

    Polycarbonate

Yeah, what he said. :) In addition to that it is a lot more flexable than cast acrylic. Look at it's coefficient of deflection ratio. I have not built any tanks out of polycarb (or extruded) but I have seen tanks built from both. All most every extruded tank that was not a cylinder blew out...

    Large storage tank.

If you want to buy locally, check out Ferguson plumbing in Milton/Fife. They have a huge selection of tanks (at least they do at the Poulsbo store), they can give you the price and if not on hand bring one over from Poulsbo, Pt. Orchard, Seattle ect.. Also there is an agriculture supply place...

Reef Mystique- Now open Lake Stevens

Yeah, I'm glad Will is off to a good start. He put a lot of planning into the whole package. He should be a sponsor here on RF very soon (I've been poking him in the ribs for months about that..:p .. he wants to get his web-site up and finish a couple hundred projects first) but he doesn't...

    War in Kitsap

 Summer fares are off now, car and driver are back down to $11.25, passenger is $6.50 round trip. The Edmonds/ Kingston is by far the fastest and when you plan it out right only adds about 45 min each way to the trip.... with how crappy traffic is on I-5, I-90, 405, and every other...

    De-Icer as MgCl2 source

JD is very nice to make such a handy and easy to use calculator for us, I love this one too ! http://home.comcast.net/~jdieck1/volcalc.html (especially since what I learned in trig, geometry and physics has long since left my brain capacity):p

    Bad Salt Mix?

There is a whole Thread on the calibration of refract. in this forum http://www.reeffrontiers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19518 RO/DI, gets you close enough but the calibration solution is the only way to be sure. I still believe that stability and consistency are more important than rushing...
