    Fuge light cycle

    I'm curious how others set up their fuge light cycle. I usually turn mine on when I go to bed and off when I get up. I have timers for my other lights but I haven't gotten one for my fuge yet. Is it better to keep it on all the time? Jason

    SWC Cone 160

    If anyone is on the fence and thinking about buying a new skimmer this has my approval. I upgraded from a Vertex IN-80 and it's night and day. The cone with its internal pump has a smaller foot print and with the gate valve adjustment it works much better. Also I think the price goes up soon...

    Compatable?

    I'm not sure about the Sally Ligthfoot but I read that they can get agressive towards other inverts. I have the other 3 together just fine with no problems.

    For anyone with an LPS softy tank that is looking for a great coral check these out. They aren't cheap but they are gorgeous. I picked one up yesterday and it looks great under my Radiums. Barrier has some in their Elos as well as a few for sale in another tank.

    Mine is not aggressive. I've had it for about a year now and it still hides from my long nose hawk. I would love a school of them. There's something I love about the blue eyes.

    Skimmer help my Resun pump isn't starting up right

    I have a Vertex IN-80 with a stock Resun pump. I've run this for over a year without a problem. Yesterday after a water change I flipped the switch on my DJ strip and the pump wouldn't start so I took it apart and cleanded it out. It was pretty clean still. Now it starts but if I tun it on...

    A pair of Vortech MP40s vs. a pair of Tunze 6105s

    I agree with Reed, and I'll add that if you go the tunze route, adding a 3rd or 4th powerhead will be cheaper since you would already have the controller. With that said, on my tank I'd opt for a second MP-40. If my tank was silent like yours I'd be super annoyed by the noise of the Vortech's

    whats the best skimmer or around $250

    E-mail luke at reef filtration. I think he may be sending out the swc 120 cones with both mesh mod and pinwheel impellars. He's selling them for $199.00 and he thinks that they'll be available next Monday. I'm ordering the 160 cone. I love the small footprint.

    MP40 flow for my tank

    I have a MP 40 and 3 tunze nano streams in my 90. In my opinion just the MP 40 wouldn't be enough flow. Jason
