    Bulkhead broke on me. AHHHH!

    It could have been the vibration on an over tightened bulk head. Not tight is bad, but too tight is bad too. The rubber seal most likely didn't have any play to absorb excess movement.

    Oh, and I mean big crews like several snails and several crabs. Not just a few that can escape.

    For those that do have wrasses that have tendencies to go after inverts, do you also have clean up crews or even shrimps? Or do you go without?

    Have you tried a gfo reactor? Start off slow so as not to shock the system. Will take a couple months but the leaching from your rocks will eventually go away as long as you control your nutrient input by small feedings, rodi water top offs, water changes, etc. It's almost like trying to fight...

    The gph of the pump you choose should depend on how much flow and the turn over rate you want flowing through the sump. Assuming you'll have wave makers in your display, you won't have to worry about having it as your main source of flow.

    overskimming?

    I think it's better to have an oversized skimmer than undersized. over skimming shouldn't be a problem if you're doing regular water changes. Those small trace elements that are skimmed should be replenished easily.

    Didn't you just upgrade your tank size as well? What size is your tank now? Did you add more leds to the fixture for more spread? Also, what are your thoughts on UV leds, beneficial?
