    LEDs to replace halides?

Is that what your warranty agreements says? I would need 4 units to light two tanks I have, hate to drop that kind of money and not have the ability to get these "high end" lights worked on state side.

    LEDs to replace halides?

Cy, will you be handing warranty repairs or do the unit need to go back to Poland?

    Kalk Reactor Talk

Just take caution when loading an improperly designed reactor, you want a almost "clear" water to drip into your system, as "slurry" type of mixture will cause all your pumps and heaters to have a calcium build up overtime.

    My fingers are swollen

I would go see a doctor if you have health insurances, better safe than sorry.. Seen people get really bad infections and allergic reactions from touching different corals and bristle warms.

    Deltec AP902 skimmer

You can try with less, but I don't think you can maintain a proper water level in this TALL and wide skimmer with a maxijet 1200. I own a AP701 and have never ran a 902 my self but have friends that have had 702, 902, and 1003. The feed water flow rate is the primary controls of the foam...

    Deltec AP902 skimmer

I think Deltec recommends 800GPH.. I would get something that can do around 1,000GPH and ball valve it down a little.

    Bloated belly?

He has been "eliminated" at this point, subsequent autopsy did not find any food or remains of in the stomach, but rather a yellow pus like substance. My last feeding of this tank was over 24 hours ago. I am still looking to save the bellus, if there is a treatment.

    Bloated belly?

Hi there, Came home tonight and found my gold-saddle rabbit fish (Siganus Guttatus) laying on it's side with a bloated belly. I have had this fish for almost a year now, great eater and loved eating my LPS's .. He is in a 300G tank with a bunch other fish, and he is pretty much king of...

    Crushed coral v. sand

Aragonite sand = finely crushed coral, they are all dead CORAL of some sort.. All aragonite based sand will dissolve at the same PH, but due the the amount of surface area on each "grain" of media, smaller grain sand will dissolve faster when compared to the same amount (weight) of coarse sand...

New thoughts on flow design for my tank...

Have you considered up-size the closed loop pipe\outlets to at least 1 inch? Four 3/4" outlet is restrictive to a 4,500 gallon capable pump. Another option I would look into is the use of two eductors on the two back closed loop outlets, if replacing the pipe to a larger size is not an option...

You should use external skimmers if you can't keep the sump water level stable.
