10 years is pretty long, most people don't go for 2 years. This fireclown is about 24 and still spawning as his girlfriend is a teenager at about 16 or so

To update a little, the tank will be 44 years old in March and is looking better than ever.

Gen Custer was in the same unit as me, The First Cav. But he was an idiot. A bunch of Indians sitting there minding their own business and he attacked them. Plus he was outnumbered like 10 to 1. I was in that unit a little later. We didn't use horses. Well not usually anyway.

Actually that can rotted to much and I removed it, I will look for another one this year in a tidepool or while diving.

I guess I should update a little. Every fish in my tank is spawning except for the copperband, two watchmans that are a different species, and the striped shrimp gobies as one is very young. There is also 5 threadfin cardinals but one doesn't have a mate and is not spawning. And a short...

I never use damnation in my posts or when I am scolding my fish. Soon I will add a mandarin pair to my pico reef pictured here. I am waiting for the macro algae phase to be over as I am dosing vodka, running a diatom filter, sump with lighted refugium ( with the heater in it) kalk stirrer...

I wanted to see if you were paying attention. I wrote that article last week. I may have written one a few years ago but if I wrote it loger than a week ago, I would have forgotten about it already. Where am I anyway?

My pair of mandarins spawned last night as well as a pair of cardinals and my fireclowns, but they spawn all the time. I won't be looking for those mandarin eggs in this old 6' long tank. I am glad the mandarins spawned because the young female was so skinny when I got her about a year ago,

I took some pictures. I also made a mistake and added a little too many fish, I sometimes just can't help myself but the fish will get over it. I wanted a school of cardinals and I already had two, so I bought two more, then three more, then I needed one more, so I have 8 of them. Real cool...

I found some algae. There is one strip of LEDs that melted over my algae trough but I was doing some maintenance today and I found that the hair algae is only growing on the front side of the trough which I can't see from the front of the tank. That is the only part that the remaining LED...

    Tank turned 41 years old

Getting back to aquarium stuff I have a problem. There is absolutely no algae growing in my reef and I can't even remember a time when this has happened. My nitrates are around 40 so I know there is enough nitrates, and I over feed due to so many fish. The corals and everything is doing great...
