    Email woes

My e-mail notifications were being bounced as spam somewhere along the way. (I have a permanent e-mail address at a mail bank that is forwarded to my current ISP.) All of my notifications stopped for a while and then resumed when this was fixed, but maybe something similar is stopping some of...

Anyone interested in Mrs Wages pickling lime?

Is this still open? I am interested in 3 containers. Someone mentioned that Walmart carried pickling lime. I checked out the store in Lynnwood. Although they had a home canning section, they didn't carry the pickling lime. They did have Mrs. Wages' 'Pickling Crisp' (Calcium Chloride) which...

    Skimmer Brand/Operate

Is the injector the white thing the tubing is connected to? I think so. What is the grey thing sticking out of the white tube with the blue valve? I think this is the air inlet with a valve to control the amount of air. What does the red twisty valve on the right do? This is a gate valve to...

    Question about mushrooms

And the missing step... Place some rubble in the shotglass (or other container) so that the mushroom has something to attach to.

    Visiting Seattle

There is a reef exhibit at the Seattle Aquarium. A new aquarium is under construction; but as of the last update all of the old exhibits are still open. As far as reef shops, there is nothing close to downtown. Will you have a car available while you are in Seattle?

    reef fanatic ph controller

I don't understand your question. Do you have a saltwater tank? if so you want to be raising your pH, not trying to lower it below 7.

    Pacific east group order?

I'm interested in two of the aquacultured frags for $20 each (Bubblegum Chalice and Orange Pavona Maldivensis). Let me know if the $40 gets you to the free shipping point.

    toadstool

That doesn't sound too promising, but I wouldn't worry about a few small pieces left on the rock if you have just softies. (I see from another post that you said you don't do SPS). I have a mixed tank and haven't had problems when I disturbed soft corals, but others have reported problems with...

    toadstool

If it was a healthy toadstool, a new one would grow back from the stump. What happened to the coral? Is there any possibility the the tissue left is still alive?

    fanworm id?

I can't tell the scale from the picture, but if they are small they may be hydroids.

Maybe a Pseudocorynactis. Look at the picture as the bottom of this article http://www.advancedaquarist.com/issues/oct2002/invert.htm

    Local pickling lime

Well I checked all three of the stores and no pickling lime. If you find some in the area, please post here as I will need to get some myself soon.

    Local pickling lime

I picked up two cans in Shoreline quite a while ago, but I don't remember which store. I go to Central Market, QFC and Safeway at different times. I'll check for pickling lime the next time I'm in one of them.

    Leather Disaster-Need Help

With a little luck the leather should recover. In future, a turkey baster works well for blowing detritus off corals or rocks.
