    who has a softy/LPS dominant tank? looking for ideas

    I have a couple of pics in my photo gallery. Mostly softies but some LPS The pics are not that good. Maybe I'll get a new camera for X-mas lol

    feed your reef

    coral frenzy, cyclops eeze (very high protien content), rotifers, oyster feast, prawn roe, zoo plankton, phyto plankton, and ocasionally live foods. I just mix it all up and turn all my powerheads and skimmer off for a while.

    I wonder if the last bucket I got was old cause I had to add a lot more salt then usual to reach the salinity I wanted.

    The first pic is mine (found the other) but mine are more brown then clear kinda look like a mini aiptasia with tenacles that have the same shape you would see on anthelia

    You could try putting a rock on top of it. It might move onto the rock then simply pull it out. Has worked for me before especially with the majanos

    SPS tank Need advice on a new Skimmer

    Wow. just modified the cpr bakpak 2 with an airstone. Can't believe the amount of skimmage I'm getting. Made me realize how bad the sea clone skimmers really are.

    Found a good deal on a CPR bak-pak 2 hopefully it does the trick. Might consider some mods. Thanks for all your input.

    I have a 36 gallon bowfront mainly Sps. Have been running a seaclone skimmer but is not cutting it. I would like to purchase a new hang on skimmer (have no sump). Any advice on a really efficient one that would be suitable for a 36 gallon Thanks
