    Anemone in the mail.

This one is a green BTA with purple tips, it was really nice looking for the 5 minutes or so it was balanced on top of the rock. My other one is an RBTA, but it has never had the "bubble" tips.

    Anemone in the mail.

So yesterday I got a 2nd anemone for my tank. After it arrived in the mail and I acclimated it, I put it in my tank on top of a piece of rock with all my power turned off (except light). It extended its bulbs a little and they were not deflated, and there was good color. After half an hour or...

    Just started the cycle

I am a little nervous because I tried one about 6 months ago, but he wouldn't eat <ANYTHING>, and eventually died after like 2 weeks of not eating.

I do not have one yet, but I want to get one. I just figured it would be better for as many as possible to be added before my little berserker goes in the tank.

Added my tang to the mix, the firefish did not make it though. I think the 2 or so minutes of being in a dry bucket did it in. :( So I now have three fish total in the tank, but I am keeping my maroon clown w/ anemone out as long as I can to give everyone else a chance to find their "spot"...

    Just started the cycle

Full tank shot, you can see the diatom algae growing, I put in a bunch of snails and some hermits today, there are little trails of "clean" all over the rocks now. :) I also added two small black and white clowns. Back of the tank, I finished the glass and lexan tops for the sump, and...

    Just started the cycle

Well, I have been monitoring ammonia for the last week or so, it appeared to be at zero as of friday, after a .25 ppm on thursday. I continued adding seasoned live rock and dead sand every day. Last night I took water to BRA just to get a reading from a more accurate test kit, and my cycle...

    Say it isn't so!

Well that is a relief. Seeing as the rock they are all attached to is the same rock my anemone has decided to make home... I guess I will just be moving the whole rock with it to the new tank when the time comes! (I have tried moving the rock around the tank and turning it over different ways...

Nope, scared to touch them. I heard when they get touched they let loose hundreds of spores or w/e it is they lay.

    Say it isn't so!

I am going to move the first rock closer to the glass and get a bigger pic, my clown is going to bite me... By taking the fish out, I meant move them to my 75 early, maybe in a week. My ammonia readings already dropped to 0! (not brave enough to test nitrites yet)
