    All About Sumps

It's gonna take me a while to figure out exactly how I am going to do it, but I plan to add a sump to the future 7.5 reef tank. This article has helped a bunch! I am planning to drill through the stand straight down and into the sump, and having the return also drilled straight up. I just wonder...

Zoas, Zoas, and more zoas! Oh and 2 clams.

I had to close my mouth with my hand to prevent myself from drooling on the keyboard. What an amazing tank you have! Can't wait to get my hands on the future tank I plan to dive into the saltwater world. Now if only the shrimp would breed faster!

The Super Spec II, SPS dominant

after a few hours of searching for other par38 bulbs I have found a really promising bulb! Luckily it has a choice of a 1 or 3 year guarantee. Full spectrum and everything :o. Gonna have to keep a close eye on both lamps.

Tank looks pretty good, more of a soft coral guy. Although the huge colonys of sps can be impressive, I don't have 5 years to devote to a tank haha.

keep me posted on how they do, some reviews on the lamps make me hesitant to pull the trigger on them.

The Super Spec II, SPS dominant

The only thing that concerns me with the bulb is that is has 30degree lenses. While I am sure that the intensity is enough, it would have to hang 1-2ft above the tank. If I can find how to dim the rapidled par38 bulb I might also consider it.

The Super Spec II, SPS dominant

I only have a few things left to hammer out like a clean up crew. But other then that its just a matter of pulling it all together. Hopefully I can throw up a thread when I get to building!

How is that bulb working out for you? I am thinking of doing some diy cree leds for a future 7.5gal (12x12x12)cube build. The bulb you are using though looks like a really good alternate. Let me know what you think of it so far!

    8 Gallon Office Tank

As far as planning goes it is all down and ready to go. In order to pay for the tank and live stock I decided to be patient and only get it once I make 500~ish dollars off selling babies from my colony of crystal red shrimp (gotta love shrimp tanks). I could go ahead and just buy it now, but I...

January Meeting: Fragging Workshop and information meeting at Red C Aquarium

If I have the time to go I will, college and work tend to soak up my time. I know I can pull off the future to be 7.5 rimless reef, just a matter of time for things to fall into place before I can pull the trigger. I have a shrimp tank that I plan to wait and slowly sell off shrimp to cover the...

January Meeting: Fragging Workshop and information meeting at Red C Aquarium

Even though I don't have a saltwater tank just quiet yet, this would of been nice to go to. Lack of sleep and an over saturation of college left me too tired to go and stop by the store. regardless I always enjoy stopping by and checking out the store to see all the new fish corals and that...
