~ Todd's 125g ~ Part IV~ Building of the Reef~

Reef Aquarium & Tank Building Forum

Help Support Reef Aquarium & Tank Building Forum:

How quickly time flies... so here is a long over-do update on the 125g. The corals under my DIY LED's have seriously overgrown their alotted spaces yet have mostly behaved. To be safe have been doing quite a bit of pruning on ones known to cause harm or be harmed. Fish are doing very well for the most part though the Powder Bue has given up his Crown to the now larger Blochi. My two Tailspot Blennies paired up and believe that they laid their first batch of eggs a few weeks back... no survivors that I know of.

The growth on your tank is unreal!!
I can remeber when ou could see down thru the canyon. Not as easy now.
Now all you need to do is top off the tank with a new wooden light encloser. LOL

Thanks Kirk and Dave, I almost have the shop back in working order to finally start the canopy build amongst some other projects in mind.

Cheers, Todd

This post is worthless without pictures.
Really? You had to reaquascape just for those three frags I sent you home with. I didn't realize they were that big.

Dave, by Friday afternoon ***SPOTLESS*** though the Tangs had some help as a handfull of Bumblebee Snails and one of my Cowries also found all that Hair Algae mighty tasty...lol
Duane, yea between getting Corals from you and Mike, Dave also brought over a couple and some Ric rocks I had to squeeze in.

I'll clean up glass and post some pics tomorrow sometime.

Cheers, Todd

P.S. Also will have an updated livestock list with some new additions coming in from Hawaii

Well, a little late as usual as have had a dificult time getting the White Balance corect on my DSLR this go around. So here is a few pics of 100's that will have to settle with for now.

Have a pair of Dispar Anthias ready to go in QT but waiting on little Yellow Tang and Redtail Wrasse (female Psych Head) that have been QT'd in Hawaii to arrive before introducing all together.

Cheers, Todd

Looking at the close ups of your reef has proven me wrong, I seen several 1'' square spots for more corals!!!
