    New to the Forum :)

Welcome :) Since you used base rock, I wouldn't expect a huge cycle but you're bound to get something hehe. What kind of fish and corals are you going to put in your tank?

    Chromis in overflow box!!!

The fish screen is an absolute must! If your overflow is covered, then the fish only has 2 places to go; forward and back the way he came. My guess is that he went back the way had came. He's probably not strong enough to battle the current in the pipes for too long so you should get your...

    live sand question

The sand should be fine. If you want to add it to the 75g, with no livestock, then you're going to have to let it cycle. After the normal cycle is complete then you can add the contents of your cured display tank. No telling how long its going to take to cycle, it just depends on how much die...

    Green Film

Judging from your previous posts on other threads, I'm going to suggest picking up a reefkeeping book. You can find a variety at the local library and I'm sure no one will mind if you do some readiing at Boarders Books. The forums are great if you have specific questions or are looking to build...

    adding live sand

Careful on which dry sand you add. Some of them will give you much worse problems than hitchhikers. Good luck

    Sherman Tank 120

Such a shame! Looks like your tank is right where you want it and then its over. Always hard to let go :( Good luck in the future.

Perculas need host other than anemone

Maybe I've just been lucky, or unlucky with my clowns. They always host rocks. I agree with the flower pot. I've seen alot of people use them when breeding. The best way I've seen to do it, is to cut the pot in half vertically, and then to lay your half-a-pot down on the sand concave down.

    Bristle worms

There are nautral ways to take care of them if you really wanted to. Lots of places sell packages if you're interested. I would stay away from the shrimp though. Heres an example. http://www.petsolutions.com/Bristleworm-Exterminators+I160340L+C40001649.aspx

Films of green and red algae

Ideal nitrates is 0, but you're usually always going to have small trace amounts. Ideal Ph is 8.5 Doing a water change will reduce the nitrates and the ammonia. If the water you are adding isn't 8.2 or higher, then it will also lower your Ph. If your water gets below 8.0, then it will start...

    Arrow crab Help

Crabs are opportunistic. Lots of people don't trust any crabs, even the ones considered "reefsafe". What are you looking for? Maybe someone can chime in with some suggestions.

How do i clean my sand???

A DSB is roughly 4+ inches and I have heard of people going up to 7 inches. People use them for beneficial bacter filtration. It also acts as a refuge for pods and organisms to breed, away from predators that would normally extinguish a population within the confines of the home aquarium. Some...
