I have the same setup as zelter but only 5' tank. Currently has 2x 175W MH and 2 x 5' VHO. Do you recommand us to go to 400W MH, I remembered it is cheaper and more efficient according to Feb's meeting.

I did the an iodine dip for several days on the hammar when it started receding but not help at all. I am using the SeaChem Reef Iodine. It was in a medium flow area and moved to a low flow after the iodine dip and it didn't seem helpeing.

I have a hammar and zoo not doing well in my tank, I wonder is anyone in Seattle can let my corals stay in your tank for a while and see what happen. The hammar is retriving and almost 30% is skeleton now. Zoo is not opening. I don't know what's wrong. All my others corals are doing fine...
Just went to BelowSeaLevel to check the water, the cal level is good. What happen is I did not read the instruction carefully so get the cal level very low. Thanks for all your help.

I have 150 -200 lb live rock, 60 lb live sand, several mushroom, frogspawn, green stars, flower plot, zooanthus polys.
These corals don't require much cal, I don't understand where's my cal go? I change water (with RO) every 2 weeks.
I used KentMarine supperbuffer and turbo cal for my 120 gl fish tank and stopped using it about 1 month ago. The cal level was about 300 and alk is about 8.3. I heard someone said that the turbo cal is not good and the reef cal is much better, so I switch my additives to SeaChem as Garf.org...
