Help with setup for a chiller

Well even though a 600 gph pump is listed in the manual it doesnt appear to be that way. I bought the plumbing and hooked it up to a trash can full of water. Primed or not primed it needs an external pump. Thanks for the advice and help Ed and Jeff . Now, I won't think its a busted internal pump.

    New Mandarin

Yes, rubble piles are great breeding grounds for pods. its just a pile of small pieces of rock that makes a safe breeding ground for the pods. Some people put them in an upside down plastic strawberry basket. I made a few for my female mandarin starting a month before I got her just in case the...

    Lubbock's Fairy Wrasse

I have one and I love her. I've had her for just about a year now, she eats frozen mysis and just about anything meaty I add to the tank. Shes mellow and prefers to swim in and out of the rock most of the day. I've never seen her jump even with my hand in the tank cleaning. Shes never chased...

Sesame seeds appearing on the glass.

Thanks! I looked up pics of them and they are almost identical. Should these be hatching at some point? I'd love to sell a bunch of snails but if i dont scrape them off they would cover the full 7ft of glass in about a month.

Sesame seeds appearing on the glass.

These little things that look alot like white sesame seeds, even the same size, show up over night. They have a hard outer shell and soft inside. They scrape right off the glass but i get 20-100 each night. Im assuming its some sort of egg. I haven't seen anyone laying them but whoever it is...

    Identify this coral?

This came on TBS live rock. Its taken it a year to reach the size of a quarter. The "leaves" are soft and retract fully into the brown base when I touch it. The base is soft with not much of a hard skeleton underneath it. Any ideas?

    Yellow Tang HELP?

Lettuce has no nutritional value. I feed mine a 50/50 mix of nori and fresh spinach. They like to graze so leave it in the tank for 24 hours and take out anything thats left then replace with fresh nori. This works great for me.

Where is a good place to get corals?

Saltwater City in Bellevue is right off of 148th. You might try there. Most of my livestock is through them and they've all been healthy and happy.
