How to seal glass to fiberglass

I wish to build a brick & mortar marine fish tank and line the two sides,
bottom and rear with fibreglass lining. The front will be 12mm Glass, thru a hole in a wall.

What method or secret is there to seal fibreglass against glass ? (silicone
just does'nt work, trust me) This must have been done by so many enthusiasts before, I am really desperate for this valuable information.

I don't know the answer to your question, but here is a bump for you...

Also, here is a thread about a tank made of concrete. There might be some ideas in there Barry Grossman's Big Tank. The first part of the thread is about skimmers, but it does talk about other aspects of the tank later.

That guy did a large tank with fiberglass sides an acrylic front (its on page 6). He used Star Brite Marine Silicone by Aquatic Ecosystems to make a gasket around the acrylic and used the water pressure to hold it there.

According to http://www.budgetmarine.com/pdf/381.pdf you can use the 3M product "Sikaflex" to attach glass to a fiberglass substrate.
