    30 gallon AIO (DIY)

Thanks...I used JB Water Weld, it's a two part putty. It was kind of a PITA, I had to piece them together one at a time and let the stuff cure before I could do the next. Well worth the time though.

The scape is done, it was a battle to get everything how I wanted it. A whole lot of F bombs as I knocked things over multiple times. Here it is...

My 12 Gal Nano Mixed Reef

I didn't read that you had a coral background, I thought all of that was in your tank. Grow as many frags out as possible so when you transfer you will have a tank that looks fuller and have some for trades.

1st Build - New to the game!

i'm a little confused. So the 1st chamber fills up from the bottom, then is pumped up to the top chamber, then overflows down into the chambers with live rock, then into the return chamber. yes/no. I see a couple things that could be a problem. The overflow chamber is going to be pretty loud...

1st Build - New to the game!

Will this run across the back of the tank or on one of the sides? I recommend making a mock up out of cardboard to make sure everything will fit and look the way you want it to

    Tank Move advice

yes... This is true but here are my thoughts on it... For substrate I would get new, unless you fully rinse the old. You will be sturing up all types of bs that has sunk to the bottom of your tank which could cause some issues in the new setup when transferring over. And for water from my...

    Tank Move advice

You should be good. I would transfer as much water from the old tank to the new one and do water change everyday for 3 or so days then slowly work your way into your normal routine. I have upgraded two tanks and haven't had a noticeable cycle. Make sure you have plenty of saltwater on hand.

    30 gallon AIO (DIY)

It was cloudy before the water change, it looks milky to me. Just asked my roommate if it looks cloudy and he said it looks normal. I'm leaning towards the sand being new and this is throwing the lighting off and giving everything a whitish hue. We'll see as the tank matures if this is the...

Playapixie's Solana 34 Build: First saltwater tank!

Nice lobo, I think I have the same one. Was it a barrier reef score? If you hit it with just acentics the colors really pop, amazing green/pink coloring.

My water looks cloudy. Any suggestions as to what could be the cause of this. I did a two gal water change yesterday and will do another tonight, doesn't seem to be helping though.

    30 gallon AIO (DIY)

The fuge light is temporary until I can find something to attach to the back of the tank. It does look pretty tacky right now, haha. I still have some organization and final setup to do. So far i'm licking the flow in the chambers, everything seems to be working good together.
