    Macro algae in overflow?

    I had some type of macro algea growing in my overflow don't know how it got there just appeared all of a sudden then had a pod explosion in there eventually I used a black screen to cover the overflow box because some of the larger snails were getting in there and eventually clogged the drain...

    The Remora is one if not the best HOT skimmer IMO, I have not heard good things about the CPR.

    Do you have a pic Sue ? From the pic it doesn't look very yellow but it is quite noticeable especially when you go from 12k to this :rolleyes:

    The first pic is the XM and the second is the coralvue12k you can't really tell how yellow the bulb is but it's quite noticeable.

    He wanted me to send him the bulb also but I told him that my coralvue was too old and I couldn't risk an extended period of time with an old bulb, I'm sure this was going to drag on forever :rolleyes:

    Hi Sue how have things turned out with the XM's ? I received my XM 10k 250w SE bulb and it's really yellow :exclaim: I contacted Jason at XM lighting but it hasn't been resolved yet although my corals are responding well to it, much better then the Coralvue's it's still too yellow for me :mad:
