    Pinched Mantle

IMHO I don't think so. Is it possible that one of your fish nipped it ?

    Pinched Mantle

I've lost 6 clams including an incredible looking Maxima to this damn disease. The last 4 was because of one I tried to save, got a good deal on it and it didn't show any signs of PM:mad:

    Pinched Mantle

How long would you have to keep the Clams in the disease free tank before adding to the display ? Since all my Clams have died how long would I have to wait for the protozoan to be eradicated from my tank ?

    turboflotr 1000 multi skimmer

I originally bought the TF when I was sumpless then when I made my sump I decided to make a small section with the excess LR I had and about 6" of sand so no room for the skimmer. Because of the overflowing problem I was having I bought a 5 gal tank to prevent any overflowing into my stand. Also...

Do you use a Phosphate Remover?

For those that use macro's for nutrient export then you won't need the phosphate remover but since I don't use it PO4 will be a problem eventually.

    Check out these lights!

The only bad part is there's no replacement in 5 years you trow out the whole fixture.

Do you use a Phosphate Remover?

I have never used a Phosphate remover and don't plan on using it unless I get a serious algae problem. I feed daily, use tap water and have a DSB so algae down the road may be a serious problem for me, but until then I don't feel the need to use one at this time.

    turboflotr 1000 multi skimmer

This is what my TF removes on a weekly basis. I would remove the flow taps they are a pain and cause flooding if not adjusted properly.

scotts wrasse questions before i buy???

I believe it was constant aggression from my Solar and Blue Head Fairy Wrasse. Also Fairy Wrasses don't ship very well so if you have a QT or Refugium I would put them there for a few days to a couple of weeks before adding them to the display.

scotts wrasse questions before i buy???

The price of the females will be far less then a supermale so the female will be more difficult to find. I have a sub-male Red Margin Fairy Wrasse and I only paid $27.00 for it whereas a Supermale can fetch $90.00+. This was my Scotts unfortunately it didn't live very long but he was beautiful...

    Scooties Project "X"

Great work Scooterman  I'm curious as to why you wouldn't use union valves in case you need to take the CL apart or am I missing them ? I only noticed them on the pump.

    Tunze Stream

If you don't plan going SPS dominated I would go with the Seio's maybe a couple of the 820's on opposite ends, jusr clean them regularly and you should be fine IMO.

    First Real Algae Problem

My opinion is remove the rock and srub as much as you can off, cut back on the DT's feed your fish very lightly and stay away from flake food which is very high in PO4 also get some more herbivores in your tank. The best algae eater I had was a Longspine Black Urchin, maybe a Tang such as a...
