    it's flagyl and if you have a cool vetenarian you can get some from them. I treated for 2 weeks and kept in qt for another 3 weeks. All looked good until i put them back in the main tank. It only took a couple of days for it to come back. Lost my 2 maximas but the 3 crocea's are still alive...

    i would think the uv output would cause harm on the corals. It's the uv that tans ya. just a thought.

    help! help! help! my tank is to hot

    put the ice in a zip loc baggy. i would do more than six cubes at a time. you can also put a fan so it blows across the water surface. the shrimp will be ok. 85 is pretty high but not extremly. the trick is not to let the temp change too drasticlly. try to keep it only a 2-3 degrees a day.

    well i have a reef and i am always experimenting (diy) with projects. One day my gf came home when i had my test kits out all over the counter and doing tests. She said i looked like some kind of mad scientist. so we laughed like a couple of drunk teenagers and the name mad reefer came about.

    i am not a scientist or a geoligist but i seem to remember that lead poisoning is something that happens over an extended period of time. I would use it. but I am somewhat of a daredevil:D this comes back to an old saying that my mom taught me a long time ago "when in doubt, throw it out"

    My tank has always had a ph of 8.3-8.4 i hooked up my kalkreactor and now my tank has a ph of 8.5-8.55 is this too high of a ph? I only have the reactor stir at 2am my tank evaporates 1.5-2g a day usually during the late after noon is when it tops off the most(makes sense). can i cut back on...

    Chiller charge??

    not sure what system it is but if it is a r-12 system you can use a refridgerant called freeze 12. it is a direct replacment for r-12. I haven't bought any in about a year but i'm pretty sure it still is just a over the counter freon. if it's r134 then it should be no problem either. hth

    yes. Mine are also washed out. I do think the colorations will come back. I have no scientific data to prove this. I am just an optimist!!:D

    well i took my clams out of the hospital tank on sunday they were on the meds for 6 days. Today they started to pinch again. I had them in a 10g and started out with 750mg and 8 hrs later added 250mg more every morning i would change 3-4 gallons and add another 250mg. after the six days...

    several different manufactures offer it. aquatronics has it in capsules called hex-a-mit. i also know seachem offers it too. I have some 250mg tablets from my sister who is a rn. just brought home some samples. I took mine out of the hospital tank and put them in qt about an hour ago...

    mine are doing fine. mine also slimed up pretty good the first couple of days. I will be taking them out tommorrow morning and put into a qt for about 4-5 weeks. (right now they are in a hospital tank). I don't think the meds are having a neg effect. but probably really won't know for sure...
