    Tropic Eden Sand...

I'm about to move my tank, and I picked up 30lbs of mini reef flakes and 30lbs of reef flakes, the grading they do is amazing and it all looked great. I'll let you know how it does when I get it in next week, I've heard its great stuff though.

best flow pumps with neptune apex controller?

As a reference I have 2 10's and a 40 on my 72 bowfront, the 40 on the left and the 2 10's on the right. From what I hear the comparisons have it that the tunze's are a bit more focused than the vortechs, and the vortechs are under rated GPH wise, AA had a big write up about them. I love my V's...

what are some good monitoring systems?

I'm with akunochi and jrgilles, I have an Apex and I love it. Programing is simple and very capable. Any CS issues are usually responded to in under 24 hours, weekdays usually within hours. Very responsive software developing, and their module based system allows you to add just what you need...

    Firworms or bristle worms?

They look like bristleworms to me. Fireworms seem to be much redder, those guys look pretty pink. Edit a few posts down there is another thread about some bristles its a much clearer pic so the OP can judge a little bit better http://www.reeffrontiers.com/forums/f14/bristle-worms-62394/ <Linky

    Lets talk LED's..............

Great thread mojo, very easy to understand and makes a lot of great points. I've always heard 300 par MH and 300 par LEd are not the saem but no one could tell me why. Your explanation makes perfect sense, when you hit the corals with an abundance of the wave lengths they commonly use from the...

    Lets talk LED's..............

I'm new to the boards but I love my AI Sol Blues. I have 2 over my 72 bowfront and have a pretty good spread with them at 12" off the water. As far as using red and green, I've read that although visually pleasing to us is not necessary for coral growth, and to much red can actually do some bad...

    Hello All

Thanks I've added some more under the hood, and I just switched back to carbon and GFO after trying Biopellets for about 2 and a half months. In that time I had a GHA outbreak and also a huge cyano problem. Just getting back on track now, just need to get the last of the GHA taken care of, I...

    Hello All

Hey Everyone, I'm new to the Seattle (Everett) area and relatively new to the hobby. I moved up here from AZ and have been lurking on the boards here after it was suggested by a local store that I check out the site. The simple in's and outs. I have a 72g bowfront, Apex controlled, AI...
