    skimmin is a lil wet..frothy more than wet..how wet/dry does it need to be?? lots of stuff gettin sucked out now with all the new rock..but man everything is brown lol..my sump smells like a fish hauling dock!! :eek:

    the torch is laying on a stable thick back "wall" of rock..the frog was sittin nestled on a smaller ledge...do they like being in the sand?? it wont irritate them? thanks guys

    tank is a steady-only stable part lol- 78 degrees f!! Got a brand new submersible heater with a numbered dial as our old one seemed a bit faulty with no way of konwing also where you set the temp at... yeah I'm not fond of our salt..but we've got quite a bit left lol...when we first mixed...

    hehe you guys rock :) glad I post here first before leaping into the salt!! ALso anyone have exp w/ Oceanic salt?? That's the brand we use..we were reccommended this brand for its quick dissolving nature... I have yet to really see that tho..

    The salt lvls keep goin down..Im assuming to top offs in the sump and me not adding enough salt in it...When I need to raise the salinity from say 1.020 its at now (on hydrometer) to say 1.023..I know I do it gradually, but do I pour the salt into the tank? or get it pumped thru the sump??     Whats your worst Reef Experience??

    Umm now :( with our battle of the bristleworms and toppling corals!!!! And the 3yr old touching a hose in the sump and it coming off and spewing water all across the living room!!!! Not to mention when we had a power outage and woke up to a flooded living room!! I keep thinking to myself...

    Thanks guys!! The hubby picked up Iodine and a Ph buffer..the Indoor Reef guy said the PH may have dropped and that would kill the xenia...We checked the Ph and indeed it did drop from about 8.4 to 8.0 :( So we fixed that hopefully..we will retest tomorrow...we got a new tester (more accurate)...

    Our new setup has me constantly worrying about where all the corals are placed..how close is too close?-I know they need at least 6in...--Is there too much flow??     Oooh I know that one!! Under Gravel Filter...which I never thought you could use in Saltwater seeing as its sand...wish I knew before I put 40+ lbs of sand in my tank lol :P:cool:

    2 new corals...

    Right now its just a basic light... CoralLife 40watt 50/50 48" light.. We're looking at gettin more Coral specific lighting..the one we have now is daylight 6000k and actinic blue 03..says ideal for salwater reef systems and for coral growth...its says :confused: this lighting thing befuddles...

    ahh..each side was a very rich purply/fushcia color..they are now poppin out..just tried to get some pics..my Sony Cybershot 3.2 mega pixel isnt too great at fishy stuff..or maybe its just me lol the tentacle one is just soo tiny..people prob wouldn't have even noticed it in the coral tank :P

    will get some as soon as they calm down and open up fully the orange ones are 95% out and the lil pinkish ones are 10% open lol..i think these may be placed upside down tho and they arent liking it...how long before I know if they are in wrong? they sure are tiny :P :lol:

    I got the pretty lil buggers from Pets and Pals in Gig Harbor..for the size maybe 1/2 doz "buds" on a rock was 5 bucks...they sure are a vibrant orange!! I got the tiny ones so in case it was a bad investment I didn't spend too much $$ the guy on Tues said oh 12 dollars each..Im thinking man...
