    Holy Batman!!

I have a pair of (very in love) Peppermint Shrimp that keep the tank spotless from them. I get a few in the sump from time to time but I just kill them there. It is cool to see the P. Shrimp with a belly full of babies swimming around. Got to see her "give birth" to tons of babies about 3...

Sandbed Removal Complete - Heavy Graphics

OK, where is the sand for this coming from? Last year we all brought some of our sand in and let it brew for a few weeks and then handed it back out. I think that would be a great idea to do again.

Wow, I disagree 100%. First, I don't think DSB's are bad. Undergravel filter, now that is bad. I never stir my DSB. My DSB is between 6-8 inches deep. The best thing you can do is have a lot of "life" in your DSB. Many people buy all this sand to put in a tank, but fail to get a bunch of...

Hey Chuck, Glad to see the tank is getting back on its feet! Good luck with the rest of the restoration! I'm sure it will be the envy of every reefer from here to Florida again soon! Heck, it looks better then mine right now! Interesting spray bar there. I wouldn't have thought to place it...

What I did (caught) on my summer vacation in Canada!

Nice fish!!! Mind letting me in on the secret location? ;) Here are a few other pics from our trip. These fish are all Coho that we caught up there. The wife's fish was 12 lbs! Not a bad Coho! She got it about 10 mins after I caught the Chinook in the same spot. My daughters was about...

What I did (caught) on my summer vacation in Canada!

We spent eight days there with Alex and his wife Line. We went as far out as 8 miles in the ocean and all over the "inlets" in the area. All said we logged over 540 miles on his boat. I caught this fish by "Tree Island" which I gather is a bit of a local name and not the real name. All in...

Skimming....can you do it to much?

I was wondering if you can "overskim" your tank. I have my skimmer running full speed and was curious if I can over do the skimming amount. How do you know if you are skimming the proper amount/level and what are signs that you are "over" skimming? Thanks! -Dave

    Photo forum?

Hey Chuck, Think we could set up our own PSAS photo forum? I know that I love the RC forum, but it would be great to see just some PSAS photos! -Dave :rainbowafro:
