    Where to buy a mangrove...?

Hey all, I was hoping to get a pointer to where I could get a small red mangrove (or starter) somewhere around the Seattle/Bellevue area. If someone could point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

    HumblePie's Pico

[ UPDATE ] I went back and checked the lighting for my fuge. Unfortunately, my statement above about the light working out great was incorrect. The light from the 8 LED strip is NOT sufficient to light the fuge. I checked my Chaeto yesterday and while it looked like it was growing, it actually...

    HumblePie's Pico

Sorry. I just saw this question. The light is pretty dim overall. If I remember right, the LEDs strip (altogether) was only about 1W. On my last Pico I had four 3W LEDs and they put out a lot of light. Once I can get down to Home Depot I'll wire them up in the hood I have now so you can...

You should definitely be able to. I've seen a number of mods that have done that. What size AP do you have?

    My 1 gallon pico experiment...

Thanks MGDMIRAGE. To give a little background, my longstanding 29g recently had a significant setback. Someone in the household (assuming children) turned off my circuit housing the controller, chiller, and heater. When I first noticed the decline in the tank the parameters were so far out...

Discussion of th Week ~ Phosphates~

First and foremost, thanks! I have had a very long running problem (for a couple months now) that I could not pinpoint the source of. I am now leaning toward the sand bed as the source of it. If I can prove that this is, indeed the source of the problem, can anyone point me to an article...

Help me plan my mix and match nano.

As a fellow NanoReefer, I can say that no matter which siz tank you go for, getting the metal halide bulb will not only give you excellent results but will also heat up your tank. In my case, I have a 29g with a 250W IceCap and it heats up the tank quite substantially. I eventually broke down...

    Do You Quarantine?

I know I should be but I only have a 29g nano and space is at a premium. If I had the quarantine tank it would take up just about as much space ans my regular tank... :)

    Glue

I use IC-Gel (recommend by tamarindthai) and it works great for attaching frags...It also worked pretty good at reparing some recent tank\skimmer damage... :) http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=31268

    Coral Magazine!!!

I ended up getting a subscription because I was unable to find it locally. Although the magazine is more expensive than most others, I would have to say that it is by far the best I have seen for marine enthusiasts.

help with Loc line. Calling all Loc line wizards please?

Be careful. I wanted to do something very similar and ran into some problems with the 3/4" LocLine fittings. The problem I encountered was that LocLine does not manufacture all the same parts for their different fitting sizes. For example, the spraybar was not made in 3/4". So I thought...
