    Myteemouse, My bet is on your cheap 1 dollar freshwater glass therm..w/ red fluid. You could allways take all three to your LFS and compare them to a few of their tanks.

    I've read over a hundred horrible stories about Coralife digital thermometers. I have one also and it sux. I now use a $1 glass thermometer from Walmart, but will eventually get a dual stage Ranco controller

    Basket Starfish

    From my understanding they die a very slow death. Meaning that they can be dieing for months before you notice. Kind of like a starving mandarin. However, the fact that it's growing some arms back is a good sign.

    Hey guys, the Seio Controller works the same way on the original Korilia pumps. It does not turn them off/on. It just slows them down to 50%, then speeds them back up to 100%.

    Great idea on the bottom of the skimmer. Is it removable? I used a rubber end cap that fits tightly over the 6" PVC. So, it can be removed for easy cleaning. I was gonna try to order my pump, Uniseals, and fittings this weekend to get this baby finished, but decided to spend $$$ on a Craftsman...

    I just used a food grade Rubbermaid container from walmart. It's not very big, but I'm drilling it so I could have it drain into a separate wast collector that will shut the skimmer off when full.
