    Elegance

Thanks Morgan for the info. :) I would love to get some aussie corals from you later when you have the aquaculture facilities up and running. Btw, do you know if any clownfish will be on the banned list? The Aussie acans we see here are around $350 - 700 per colony depending on the...

    Elegance

Wondering if it is collected locally in Malaysia or not. Because in Canada, the ones we got (almost exclusively) from Indonesia, 90% of them die within the first month. It was not like that 5 years ago. The newly imported Australian ones live no problem also.

    Elegance

Isn't elegance coral one of the "easy to die within a month" coral these days due to virus/collection area/etc... This only applies to the Indonesian ones, Australia ones seems to be fine and do not suffer the same fate.

    Sun Coral Lighting and Feeding

One more thing to add is that they do like high flow, so if you can have PH pointing or indirectly pointing at them, they will open up easier (at night i.e.) It is not unusual for a newly arrived sun coral to take a few weeks to get use to aquarium conditions and open up. The trick is to get...

    Amphiprionidae (Clownfish) Workshop

Jeff, is this the first batch of eggs your pair laid? Do you have live rotifiers cultured currently? If you do not have live rotifier culturing already, it might be a bit too late to grow this batch out but that is not to worry because most pairs once started spawning will spawn very...

    PH-How high is too high?

My tank is having pH of 8.5 lights on, 8.4 lights off, no calcium reactor. I think it is a bit too high because some of my corals die much faster than others. BTW, try test it with a electronic pH monitor. I used a hagen test kit before and it always tell me that it is 7.9-8.0, not until I...

    fragging anenomes

depending on which LTA you referring to. The only kind that does not work is the ritteri/magnificant type, M.Doreenis (and others) are fine.

    fragging anenomes

Morgan, that's a typical fragging method these days. (1) Remove the BTA from the rock (2) Cut it in half from the mouth outwards (3) Wash it in tank water, and put it back into the tank for recovery (4) It should start eating in 1-2 weeks
