    Assuming the tank is acrylic...I have used the product with success although it does take alot of elbow grease. You can use it inside on an empty tank and then wash it well prior to set up.

    Just changed all filters and DI resins on my RO DI system and was wondering if the resins for the DI chamber would be something to run in a mesh bag inside a canister filter. Would they do anything or be a benefit/bad thing for the tank?

    So Boomer, is the filter guys better than Matrix or Warner to run thru a canister filter setup in your opinion? Looking to go with purigen and high grade carbon as I have used chemipure and liked it but not sure of the carbon in it. Felt it best to use independant bags on my own.

    Cant comment on T5s but must say I am happy with my VHO setup. I also am going to be placing some polished metal in my hood soon. The internal reflectors do help but I agree that alot still comes thru and would be better reflected back down into the tank. Just running the full acetinic bulbs...

    Actually I have 440 W VHO and would say I supplement with two 150w Hqi 10000 halides as my VHO runs longer than my halides. I use 46 1/2 inch bulbs in my canopy.
