Transfer fish from one tank to another tank

I just purchased a Red Sea Max and I am letting it cycle. I have a 58 gallon tank as well and once the Red Sea has cycled I would like to put two of the fish from my main tank into the Red Sea. How long after it cycles should I transfer the fish. I do not want to put them through any stress etc.

    red sea max 34g

I just bought one. I have just put sand into the tank and tonight I will add LR. I love it so far. Great looking tank and so far it is running perfectly.

    shift my sand please

Are sea cucumbers toxic? I thought I read they can release a toxic liquid that could damage the tank. I could be wrong.

    Why all of a sudden...

The sand has spots of dark brown, nothing has dies as far as I know. Temp is 78, bulbs are only about 6 months old. Thanks for the input everyone.

Very nice! How deep is your sandbed ? Does the jawfish have more than one burrow or several?

    Lights out

I just want to understand that if I have a power outage for a long period of time, I need to supply the tank with oxygen and try to keep the temp near where is should normally be? Are those the 2 most important factors I need to deal with? Also does anyone know about these things called...

    Red Sea Max

Is any one familiar with the Red Sea Max lighting. I keep hearing and reading different things. Is the lighting enough for soft and hard corals?

    two jawfish in one tank?

Can you put two blue spotted jawfish in one tank? I already have one and was thinking about getting another one. I read the article on jawfish that Nah20 provided for me a while back. It does talk about mating but nothing about when you already have one and wish to add another. Any one have...

    New nano tank

I just purchased a 34 gallon Red Sea nano tank. Should I start the tank off with R/O water or could I just use water right from the tap? Since the tank has to cycle, I was curious if I really needed R/O water. Thanks.

    Fish Feeding Habits

A few months back I bought a jawfish. He started eating the mysis and blood worms and brine shrimp I fed him. One day I changed it up and gave him some dry flakes. Now that is all he wants to eat. He turns his nose up at any frozen or live food. Whenever he sees me with the canister of dry...

    Sebae Anemone

I know nothing about Anemones. I know they need very good lighting, other than that I am lost. I have two clowns for well over 3 years, would they take to it at this point? They eat fish, don't they? Do fish know to stay away from it or will it eat my fish? I want to put one in a 29...

    Flame Angel Fins

My flame angel fins look as if they are being nipped. I am not sure what fish I have would do that. I have two clowns, spotted jawfish, firefish, royal gramma. Could it be any of these fish or something else. Other than that the fish is fine.
