    If you want your plumbing to be a little more low profile you can use a 1.25 to 1.5 threaded inside bushing. They thread right over the backside of those sch 80 3/4" bulkheads. Just a thought. Your link above is dead.

    Well you can always put a fan blowing onto the motor, that will help. You can also attatch a compter heat sink to the motor.

    It is not Razor for sure. It does look like valonia (bubble aglea). It can be problematic for sure but emerald crabs seem to be a pretty good countermeasure. You could get one and give it a shot. I had a bad outbreak of valonia last year and am now completely rid of it simply by manually...

    Yup it was actually over 5 cups, it all wouldn't fit into the measuring cup. I am going to let it run for a couple days w/ out messing with it now to see how long it takes to make 1.5 gallons.

    Recirc NW skimmer

    Well the skimmer decided to kick into gear today and so far it is working great. I also got the 2700 working, so we will see what kinda junk it has in the cup for me when I get home from work in the morning. Just as a side note the cup holds about 1.5 gallons :)
