Got my pair of WP40s installed. Awesome! Slightest buzz with full powered wave function, but quieter than all others. They are closer to what I was hoping Vortecs would be and at 1/4 the price. Most closely similar to the 12 volt controlled Tunze package, with better mounts.

100 gallon per day Reverse Osmosis $39

OK, how about $35 including some free silver pom pom Xenia on a frag of live Blue ridge coral? Anyone? Anyone? Buellerr?

    Auto top off??

Ummmm, perhaps have had 6 different tanks? The Kent 180, Kent 72 bow, Mill Creek 72, mill creek 54 bow, ditto three nanos. Bought one for a friend, and suggested them to many. Down to just my 180 now and guess what brand of ATO? Have never had a JBJ go bad.

    Auto top off??

JBJ, cheap enough new and often can find one used. Has never let me down, and have probably owned 6

100 gallon per day Reverse Osmosis $39

100 gallons per day Reverse Osmosis $39 (new filters but not pretty) Almost 10 years working reliably. It currently has fairly fresh filters and membrane good for another 6 months to a year based on your water tap quality and pumps out 100 GPD of clean water. I have kept it outside and thus the...

Yeah, but I already have backups for my backups. Redundancy, one of the secrets to preventing disasters. :drum: This is the set I got: http://www.ebay.com/itm/121224564990?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649#ht_2408wt_688

Only have one 120v tunze unit left. Would have to pull it out to see the model. Plenty of Koralias ;)

Santa said, time to make the corals happy. Bot a dual WP40 set. Guess will have to start selling off my collection of Tunze and Koralia powerheads (tank clutter)

    Trick Steel Stand

:) was making a pun. Once a chemist, always a chemist ;) Rare earths are a group of elements found naturally but in very small percentages relative to other common elements like iron, oxygen, silicon. Most have cool properties and are mined in China more than other places. One is neodymium...

"The panels will be held onto the stand by rare earth magnets." Very very nice!!!! Didn't know that Earth magnets were rare, thought the ones from other planets were rarer.

    Powder blue with ich

Have never heard of Crytocaryans reproducing in water with a salinity of 1.008 to 1.009 Perhaps lower it down to 1.008 and see if they fall off and not reproduce

    Powder blue with ich

I do not trust your salinity measurement. Do you use a refractometer or some float device? Be sure you read the exact method of hypo, your treatment due to lack of info presented, sounds a bit fishy ;) http://www.reeffrontiers.com/threads/27155-A-Hyposalinity-Treatment-Process

    Tenacious flatworms!

Mfinn is correct and his advise prudent. Being that I am always by my tank 24/7, I run it at a full double-strength and leave it in with no water change for 48 hours. Works itself deep into the sand and other crevices where survivors might be otherwise. Turn off the skimmer as it will almost...

Did you just say AFLAC? Think I might just have to splurge. Was not happy with the value and noise relative to cost on the vortechs, Having it all in the tank seems like a very fair tradeoff for the lowish level of investment required. Was going to add another power-head anyway (from stash in...
