    Sea apple yes or no?

kenny, no vote for me. anything that has a potential to emit poisons in the tank is NOT going in my tank...not taking the risk..so this also applies to cowfish :)

HD or Lowes sells it..it is in the lighting section. if you want black eggcrate (which is very hard to find) OBD has some, otherwise, white is the standard color.

pH is 8.6?? that is very high....do you have a lid on the tank? if so, open it up during the night to get some CO2 exchange..this should help lowering the pH.

    Most cost-effective tests?

Pixie, i downsized to 3 QTs (55, 55, and 75g)..they are NOT inline with my main tank..they are separate but since all the equipment to do WC is in the garage, there is no excuse in doing water changes. you are welcome to stop by and see my setup anytime..let me know.. Kirk

    Most cost-effective tests?

pixie, agreed on the calcium comment..i own the calcium checker and the steps are just as numerous, not a fan of it.. hahahahahah on the tanks...it adds up fast...I was up to 6 QT tanks, then I started popping fuses. that is when i said OK enuff and down-sized and had a electrician install...
