Live Rock

So its been awhile since I have purchased any live rock, I am guessing about 10 years. Now that I have chosen my tank, I need to decide wher to get some rock.

Does anyone have any recommendations on where they have order live rock and have been pleased with it?

I bought some dry rock at BRS a few years ago and was reasonably happy with it.
But it seemed like it had a large percentage of dried coral heads.

Another option is local reefers that have dry rock, either ready to go ( bleached ) or needing to be cleaned.

Another option is to buy live rock from places like liveaquaria.
I bought about 150lbs. from them for my 240 was pretty happy with that order.
Was able to get several large pieces.

hang in there, I am working on getting 50 posts to get my ad on live rocks in the classified section asap. I'm tearing my tank down since i may be moving long distance. Good thing you have at least 50 posts to view the ads.

I use mostly FHI in my display. They have branch rock out now that is pretty impressive.

It has been on craigslist for a few days. This forum get more exposure directly to reefers.

This isn't a place to sell stuff.
This is a forum to get help and exchange information.
It's also a place to show off your reef/fish stuff, skills and talents.
It's a community of like minded people. (for the most part )
I'm sure there are others who have more reasons.

Actually I get to meet the reefers and see their display and learn a ton of new stuff when I come to pick them up. I loved the classified everytime I get a chance to visit the website. That section gets a lot of people viewing.

I see way more stuff on RF classified that on Craigslist. I wouldn't be able to have that same opportunity to meet if there was a ban on selling reef stuff.

I'm just letting the person know to hang on till I reached 50 hits. Stay tuned.

I got mine from Vivid aquariums and I am real happy with it. As I got a bigger tank I want to Macro rocks, got that from ebay, it's dead rock but very nice.
