    haha - man this thread reminds me I need to change my username - this one is my ex's - whose been gone for 3+ years, I took over his tank and his hobby, and his nickname on here when i kicked him to the curb since everyone got to know me under "his" name instead of him! time to clean house...

    I'd throw the plywood on. It will allow you to add another area of insulation/buffer from equipment heat in the sump area to your tank, plus then you don't need to worry about accidentally looking at the bottom of your sand bed - sometimes all that black detritus freaks me out and makes me think...

    I looked at a calendar from Greg the other day that had this Saturday (2/14) penciled in. I know he is finalizing the calendar for the entire year so we don't need to wait in anticipation anymore :eek: Let's all PM him until be responds and find out for sure :badgrin:

    Question for all you naysayers :) Shouldn't our recommendation #1 be to QT the lil mandarin devil and train em to eat an easily attainable frozen or dry food? Then the pods are only supplements to his diet soaked with yummy selcon and other goodies.....

    Removing center brace on 46 bowfront

    I vote grind the sides of the brace down a lil bit to maximize area and tell your colonies not to live in the light-less area :) Much easier than glueing & doweling in clear acrylic - :lol:

    I've actually had luck drilling small holes in a larger rock and dropping the mushroom in - u'll loose the shroom for a few days until it crawls out, attaches and hangs outside of the hole :) Might be worth a shot!
