    Feeding corals

The book is good in the sense that it's quite impossible to misread it, almost no text to read, pictures and pictograms only.:D That's exactly I used to know, e.g. from Wetwebmedia  And now, let's have a look to the Bubble coral from the book, note the phyto symbol (second from the left).

    Feeding corals

According to J. Sprung all the common corals used in aquarium hobby, except one genus (Millepora), do eat phyto. Source: Julian Sprung (1999). Corals. A Quick Reference Guide. Ricordea Publishing, pp. 240

    SPS asexual budding pics

A little play with remote flash and I got it! As you can see at ten-o'clock direction, there is another bud forming and ready to drop off soon. I'm not sure would this be a good or bad sign. The coral looks very healthy and no signs of any stress.

    SPS asexual budding pics

Well, I took a shot with the flash right now. It's rather difficult to see the bud itself, but it extends to the lower edge of the marking ellips. Let's see what form it will take tomorrow.

I never heard that about Acropora and Pavona species, but the pics below are good evidence they use polype balls for reproduction. ;)

    Spawning BTA (pics & video)

It takes two to start new life. I mean a female for releasing eggs. Recently a frend of mine had a spawning event of female BTA in his tank. The pictures were posted in a Estonian forum here.

    Spawning BTA (pics & video)

No changes as much I know. He was kind a restless last couple of days though, made several attempts to leave his cave, but returned back soon. Now, after spawning, he looks pretty good and satisfied again.

    Fish disease ID

Steve, No, I don't have pure one, more, I don't have anything yet. ;) I'd only like to know the common formula, just in case, so anyone could calculate the actual brutto amount needed depending on the brand he has. Assuming of course that the concentration is known and one would be able to...
