Tank design - Glass and Acrylic

Is it possible to do this? Planning on building an in-wall tank. Is it possible to have an acrylic side/bottom and a glass front? I like the glass front better, and the cost of acrylic is lower (read better) for the rest. The only visible portions of the tank would be the front area. Is...

    Copperband Butterfly ?

I had one for about a year and he did very well. Then again, I didn't have hyper-aggressive fish in the tank either. He would swim right in with the other fish when I feed the tank and he ate very well. Maybe I just got lucky. I did have a 180gal tank however, so it isn't like the fish where...

    what are you saving for?

LOL, well let us see here. I am saving to move my family from the west coast (Washington) to the east coast (Maryland) in July. Then I will have to set the tank (180) back up. That means rock, fish, corals, new bulbs, and the 1000 other things that go along with setting a tank up! That will...

    Mandarin Care

Both sexes have the spine in the front. The male however is VERY long while the female version is much shorter. The male would extend past the length of the dorsal fin. On my male, about 3 1/2 inches in length, the dorsal fin is a good 1 1/2 inches long. Hard to tell sex from your shots as...

    SPS problem moving quickly

Man, I had that SAME EXACT coral experiance RTN in my tank last month. It was a great piece too! It was about 9 inches round and was gone tip to base in two days. No clue as to what caused it. Rest of tank is/was great. Anybody think its fishy that this type is RTN'ing in several locations...
