Beautiful! Those are great colors - nice variety. And I know from your messages that they have the perfect home. I truly wish you the very best of luck with them. Are they from SeahorseSource or Draco?
Thank you, everyone - Steve, Colleen, Ed.. and everyone else who helped! And a thank you to my hubby, Wally too - he's quietly in the background but he had a big hand in making this work. Having never done such a thing before I was really nervous but now I'm glad that I did it. Everyone was...
We saved a seahorse that was starving because the fish store didn't know what to feed it. It was near death but we were able to save it with proper feeding.
We saved an almost dead suncoral.. again, proper feeding was the problem and the solution.
We tried to save a mandarin - we're not even...
I don't know what shape your filter intake is, but we use HOB filters and the ones built into the 5 gal hex tanks and both of them have the long tube intake. A foam paint roller (the kind made for painting trim) with the plastic center removed makes a great cover - haven't lost a fry to one...
Those are good sized fry!! How many did he have?
Great job with the photo's... dwarves and particularly fry are really hard to photograph!

We ran a 10 gallon for tidepool stuff for awhile - I don't know the exact setup but it involved lots of hose and a mini refridgerator and foam around 3 sides of the tank - temp was around 60 (with room air conditioning too) and we did have condensation problems. It was kinda cool for awhile...
We've tried this a few times... sand dollars, snails, macro algae/grasses, stars, cucumbers, fans, and chitons I'd say you should take back, we've never had them survive. Limpets, hermits, tide pool shrimp, amphipods, and copepods we've had survive.
We've had a few problems, but a phone call always solves it. One time it said we took 1600 gallons... LOL.. we just called them up and told them our tank on the truck only holds 185. No problem, they adjusted the bill. I think it helps that we always get the same amount so we know when it's...

We use 750 gallons of this a month for fish and soft corals and raising seahorse fry. Works for us.
Walmart also has an almost identical one - Aqua-Tech Hex 5 for 29.95. It looks the same but the filter might not be as strong. For dwarves, you do have to put a sponge over the filter - foam paint rollers for painting trim work great.
Oh... forgot to mention that some seahorses being sold now as captive bred are being pen-raised in Indonesia and other places. Basically, they throw a bunch of mixed seahorses into net pens in the ocean, throw in some food, wait for the fry to grow up and there you go. Legally, these are...
Sorry, last night got a bit busier then I was expecting!
Dwarves don't mix with big seahorses because dwarves need to be in small tank for proper food density and the big seahorses just don't fit.
Ok, think of the drinking water in Mexico - makes us sick, but doesn't cause any problem for...
