    AHHH !! anemone stocked

Remove the powerheads, and install a closed loop manifold with a screened overflow. For more info, see Anthony's stickied thread in his advanced topics forum on Reef Central. If the anemone has extricated itself (you didn't pull it out, I hope) leave it alone for 24 hours, then offer it food...

    AHHH !! anemone stocked

??? Why do you people insist on keeping anemones in aquariums with powerheads?

    Excellent speech at IMAC!

Just wanted to let you know I heartily enjoyed your presentation at IMAC, as well as getting a chance to meet\talk with you while I was there. Setting up a 55 within the next few months as a (mostly) clam tank. I plan on hogging all the maximas you get in when it's done ;)

Thanks for the input, especially about the noise!

Sequence "dart" pump - good, bad, or ugly?

Has anyone used the Sequence "dart" pump? I'm planning on setting up a 55 with a closed loop, and was considering the dart becuase of low power consumption, high flow, 3yr warranty, and supposedly it's quiet - and the tank will be in my bedroom. Anyone have any input on this pump\brand? Thanks!

    Small clams not attaching

Clams are still growing like crazy, and still pinching, though not as badly. Should I go ahead with the hospital tank or see if they'll recover on their own? No experience with pinching, here...

    Pinched Mantle

Wouldn't be from your lack of effort, nikki. The first one sure does look a lot better, and I hope the second one hangs on!

    Calling all younger reefers

Hey I still *think* I'm 18! 21 here, introduced some pipsqueak named FalsePerc to WWM and RF, and my clams> his clams :D

    Small clams not attaching

I will try it...I'm surprised at how tough these clams are, even small ones. I will give it another 2+ days, set up the hospital tank, dip, then treat. We'll see how it goes.

    Small clams not attaching

Ok my clams are definitely not cured....thought I think the problem is I can get them to open in the FW dip. Should I go for a longer dip (15 mins?) or directly to the metrinidazole treatment?

    Small clams not attaching

I dipped my small clams today for ten minutes...I think they're still showing signs of pinching, but they're not fully open yet (dipped them 4 hours ago). I can't really get them to open in freshwater, so I don't think it's doing a lot of good. I'll see though...for right now they're getting...

    Small clams not attaching

They did attach to a piece of tile for 48 hours, until a snail knocked the tile over >< I'm going to FW dip them tonight or tommorow and see if they attach.

    The perfect storm?

I have a small BB nano (no room for a DSB) and I blow off the rocks once a week before my weekly 100% water changes.

    Dipping small clams for pinching

Thanks. I'll probably dip them tommorow and see how it goes. I'll do 10 minutes, and if they're opening, I'll continue the dip for a total of 15. I will post my results.

    Dipping small clams for pinching

I attempted to last time, but they didn't want to open. Since I dipped them yesterday, how long should I wait until their next dip? Right now they're looking better than they have in a week or so, and they don't look stressed, except for mucous production (and the pinching, of course). I've...
