    Noah story

Chlorine will evaporate in 24 hours. So if you leave it in a bucket overnight it should be good to go into your tank if your live rock is really exposed. To be safe I'd just fill it back up with RO and take it slow. Your pH could take a hit as well with that much water being taken out of the system.

    Zoo's and their toxins

I'd like to clear up a few things for myself. In my brief research I found that only "palythoa," hence the name "paly toxin," have been known to create palytoxin. I also call attention to the bolded statement. http://www.cbwinfo.com/Biological/Toxins/Palytoxin.html Also...

    Lympho

I recently heard through a co-worker that she had overheard that keeping fish under full spectrum lights would help cut down, if not prevent completely, lympho from manifesting itself. Does anyone know if there is any truth to this?

    Anyone buy fish from Petco?

Are you implying petco has....trade secrets...? Considering that every time I go to buy meal worms from petco for my bearded dragon every single one of them is dead or in the refrigerator dying(depiste the container clearly labeled, in all caps, "DO NOT REFRIGERATE) I wouldn't trust them for...

    Peacock and Yellow Mantis

Hey all, Bryce here from Blue Sierra. We've been sitting on a couple of beautiful mantis here at the store. The peacock is about 5 inches long and fat for $44.99. The yellow mantis is about 3 inches and doing just as well for $29.99. Either will do well in 20 long with a deep sandbed and some...

    Cycle/Liverock ?? for 180 gal

It doesn't matter if you mix cured with uncured live rock if you're starting a new tank as long as you don't have any livestock in it. Adding uncured rock will start a mini-cycle over again. Adding a dead shrimp to your tank would be superfluous to the cycle.

    Peacock Mantis

Not likely that they're the same species. There isn't a lot of information in the wider world about identification, but of the pictures I've seen there's a huge variety of them that look very similar. Right now he/she, I haven't gotten a good look at the underside, is living in a 20 gallon...

    Is this Aiptasia?

Blue Sierra carries Joe's Juice, but most fish specializing stores will. Blue Sierra is in Issaquah, at 90 Front St South. Call for directions.

    Is this Aiptasia?

Be aware with peppermint shrimp that they can eat more than just aptasia and may not even touch the aptasia. It's quite common for them to eat feather dusters, and I've heard a few second-hand stories about them becoming the scourge of a reef tank. I recomend that you use Joe's Juice as it is...

    Is this Aiptasia?

Sure looks to be aptasia, get some Joe's Juice and nuke 'em. Do be diligent about siphoning out their remains after you squirt them with Joe's, if you leave behind any tissue they can regenerate.

Fish selection for 26 gal, newbie needs advice.

Sparks I agree with you almost 100%, but I would steer away from a Royal Gramma if you want to have any other fish in the tank. While he may be alright in there, chances are probably better that he'd just end up rippin' on everyone else. Better choices would be, as you suggested, smaller clown...
