The new PVC will create bubbles. Once you get things rolling and the insides of the pipe get a chance to "slime" up a bit, I think your bubbles will go away. Great job, and again, thanx for the attention to detail!!! :D

Looking good again Joey. Charlie is right about the bubbles. You usually have to develop/build up some slime/sludge in the pipes to cut down on the bubbles. It will go away eventually. I had the same problem on a closed loop I made on my old setup. I took in down 10 minutes after running it for the first time because the pump I used sounded like a freight train passing by. I was already at the end of my witts fighting hair algae that I took the whole thing down completly and didn't start it back up again until this summer. Nevertheless, I had the same bubble issues as you are experiencing and Marc (at Melev's reef) said that was usualy the problem with having to develop a bit of slime. Good luck on the rest of your construction of your ACRYLIC TANK!!! (LOL) I'll be looking out for some more of your progress. Take care.

Sounds like you did a better job than me, I just cut the PVC then dry fitted everything allowing the PVC to go the full dept inside the fittings, then primed & glued as one unit. The only thing I did was clean everything inside and out best I could, also removed any burrs after the cuts. I just love the looks of such clean water in a tank, if only we could keep it that way huh!

I know what you mean Scooter...That's why I've got "cold feet" and hesitating on adding fish. I know once I add some bio-load, things will never be the same. (LOL) My cousins Fiance' asked if water was in my tank the other night...And then she says, "Oh yeah, I see the water moving on the top" (LOL)

This is good to know Charlie. One less worry for me!

krish75 The second I turn the pump on I got drenched due to temporary piping coming out of the 90deg connector. :D :D I just had to tape themto continue the test.

Scoot I was not able to push the the fitting in the manifold at full depth but I guess it will hold. And yes you were right about the clear water. I try to go over and over the pic appreciating how clear that water is.

Thanks all for the support and encouragement.
Stay tune! :D
