Some of you know, I have a 44 gallon pentagon. The stand is akward, and I was going to get a 20 gallon long and build another stand looking case next to the main tank, but I thought it would just be easier if I can fit a 10 gallon under the 44 gallon.

I measured, and I can fit a 10 gallon under the tank and have about 6" on each side left over (if the tank is centered. That would be good because I need room for an autotop off bucket, etc. . But would that be enough? I'd be limited on space so I would probably have to get a HOB Skimmer. But having a 10 gallon sump/fuge area would be plenty, dont you think?

Thanks Guys

Yeah.. That makes sense. Im just going to have to really save up any extra room for my fuge area. Im going to try to make the pump section have the smallest room as possible.

make a nice shelf and pretty it up and put it above your tank......that is what i want to do to with my refugium on my 120 when i get it up and going!

I thought of that but I am going to have it on the bottom since its not just a refugium. Its a sump too. Theres going to be a skimmer in one section, auto-top off container, etc. It would just be better under. If it was a fuge then I probably would have it above.

i have a 15 gallon sump for my 60 gallon tank. so a 10 for 44 should even do better. mine houses the skimmer.
