is there a way to successfully add a 10 gallon tank to my system as a refugium? i was planning on putting a 10 gallon under there next to the sump and making it the refugium using 2 small powerheads to pump water in and out. would this work? any suggestions?

thanks,
wil

It would be easier to drill your 10 gallon and have it fed by gravity into your sump that way you only have to use one powerhead and you wouldnt have to worry about it over flooding. Two powerheads is a bit iffy because u have to match the flow.

If you ever head to blue sierra jeremy aka Pentagon has a neat little 10 gallon refuge setup you can check out for inspiration.

Drill the 10 gallon on the side. Put an elbow on the bulkhead, this will act as an overflow. Then you can choose to use a small powerhead to feed the tank, or you can gravity feed from your tank's overflow and you wouldn't need a powerhead at all.
