Can the 12v dc power adapter for moon light plug into 220v outlet with an adapter or do you need some sort of converter?

I would think if you plugged any device that is meant for 120v and plugged it into a 220v outlet, there would be lots of sparks, fire, etc.

Depends on the transformer, read it, if it says 120/240 it should be fine. Otherwise go to a radio shack and get one.. where are you that you use 220?
