15 gal plumbing plan

Haven't decided yet. I have a quiet one 5000 laying around but I'm not sure if it will be too much or not.

One thought for you. Spraybars are horribly inefficient. If you are looking to move water from behind the rocks I suggest either outlets at the bottom of the tank or one or more at the top pointing down. This work much more efficiently. It's your tank though and you need to do what you think will work best.

The rest looks fine.

Could probably put a ball valve on it and slow it down some though.

Reed made a great point. Spary bars to me only seem useful to push detritus to the front of the tank on bb systems, but nevertheless people still use them for other applications. I wouldn't put a ball valve on it if it were me. I'll go full blast(LOL) I guess if you felt you were going to get too much current out of each nozzle then you could do that or just split up the flow a little more into more outputs which will calm down the flow, but still give you the coverage. Just a thought...

Reedman. I get your point about the spraybar. I plan on having three outlets on the bottom of the tank about two inches up from the bottom. Do you think I would be better off just having the flow come straight out of those three outlets vs. a spraybar?

krish...so you don't think that would be too much flow?

No man!(LOL) Don's got 10,000 gph in his 110 gal! I think if the flow is placed nicely and evenly distributed then it should work out great IMO.

Cool...well I guess that's the plan then. I'll let ya all know how it works.

krish is way too fast for me, but yes, I think you would be better served by having 3 outlets with loc-line (or not....you can add it later). This will provide a more efficient system and allow flexibility down the road.
