I found two hitchhikers and would like to know if they are friend or foe.

Found this snail trying to eat a astrea snail so I picked him up. He looks like a nass snail but with black skirt. Looks nasty to me.

These starfish are starting to show more and more. Are they bad?

Some Nassarius snails can have many colored feet including mottled black

Astarina stars are harmless algae grazers, eating on both green and coraline. They can be periodically removed as necessary to keep them in check.

I say friend to both..the first one is a nassasirus snail that is a great deitrus eater and still up the sand and keeps it clean.
I had a whole bunch until my 8" PT Trigger decided he needed a mid-afternoon snack. LOL

+1 Good on both. Most Wrasses will keep the Asterina Stars in check for you. Nassarius Snails are scavenger/predators and will do a good job of cleaning up extra food pieces.

Cheers, Todd

yep good bro! Wats wrong with em justforfun? They are simple algae grazers i do believe and witnessed!
