I'm using the diy 2part the calcuim @345 alk @ 9dkh mag@1400,I've added almost a full gallon of the calcuim part and only 3oz twice of alk addition.I have not needed to add the alk supplement,I would like to see calcuim around 420 should I continue adding the cal. part/and alk un-equally based on the tank conditions?

Its fine to add different amounts.

Thanks:exclaim: I'm doing something right:)
I started @ calcuim level @320ppm,the reef calculator I used indicated I needed to add 14oz of supplement not all at once to bring my level to the desired 420ppm and after the addition I it only went up slightly in 24 hrs.,today I doubled that amount and will re-test level in the morn.

How quickly can the level be raised safely from 320 to420

Fairly quick what size is your tank?

Don
re-tested today level is @420
tank size is 265g w/roughly 40g in 75 g sump.now I just have to figure what the daily comsumption is and I should be good I took my cal reactor off line and using 2part exclusively cause I need a better fed pump for my reactor.I need to do a bulb change soon so that's priority since the 2 part seems to be working great:p

If you use the reef volume calculator to the best of your ability, it will help keep your dosings in the correct amounts so you don't overshoot any of your params.
